Loving in Reverse

Some people will find some one and marry them after three days. Some people will swear off kids until they find “the” right person who changes their perspective. Some people find some one and gain loyalty, gratitude, devotion. For some reason I have only experienced the loss of love overtime. What it feels like for some one to give up on you. For them to feel like you are no longer worth the effort, time. Being told “I don’t have the time for this.” “I don’t have the time for you.” “I don’t have the effort to fix this.” Has been a recurring theme in my relationships.

What makes someone loose their desire to love? To the extent that you loose the desire to even be around that person?

Some people could tell you that loving too much at first causes the fire to dwindle and burn out quicker. But where is this monitor, this scale that identifies intensity? Where’s this checklist? How do you know when it’s too much? Where is that transition from New to Old Feelings? Those 15 years and still happy feelings? What happens when all of your feelings are intense? I’ve never had a mild emotion in my life.
